The Grey Bruce Public Health Unit has expressed to Beaver Valley Ski Club the importance of all members, guests, staff, and volunteers participating in passive and active health screening and contact tracing to prevent spread of COVID-19 virus in our communities.
Beaver Valley Ski Club is recommending that all members, guests, staff, and volunteers download the Canada COVID Alert contact tracing app onto their mobile device and have it activated with Bluetooth on.
During peak times, Beaver Valley Ski Club may introduce additional measures to check health screening, contact tracing, and provide COVID-19 safety messaging. The actions/activities listed below are not limited to the following:
· Lift line checks for valid passes, monitoring and enforcing physical distancing requirements, mask usage, health screening checks.
· Patrol checking for valid passes, monitoring and enforcing physical distancing, mask usage, health screening, and education on COVID-19 best practices.
· Ambassadors will provide education on Beaver Valley Ski Clubs COVID-19 best practices, participate in health screening spot checks, and assist patrol and race crew when required.
· Gatehouse may be staffed to check and enforce health screening requirements prior to entry to the club property (if required).
Daily health screening surveys will be required by the following groups prior to arrival at Beaver Valley Ski Club:
· Members
· Program and Lesson participants
· Staff
· Volunteers
The data will be monitored for contact tracing, health related absences and to monitor the safe return of anyone who is ill or has been exposed to someone in a bubble that has been ill.
Beaver Valley Ski Club has invested in technology to assist in health screening, contact tracing and other data collections to track movement in indoor buildings and around the club property during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Beaver Valley Ski Club will offer a programmed RFID to enable access to service offerings and facilities. Data manifests can then capture daily activities of the membership, guests, staff, and volunteers by member account and bar code.
Members, guests, staff, and volunteers are responsible for self-monitoring. If you have any health symptoms or have come into close contact with someone who has displayed symptoms or has a confirmed case of COVID-19 - do not attend Beaver Valley Ski Club.
**Call Telehealth or your health care provider to determine if you need to be tested for COVID-19 or if you require diagnosis and treatment for symptoms that are making you feel unwell**
More information regarding Health Screenings and Contact Tracing can be found in the COVID-19 Operating Plan.
